Plastic welding rods PE-LLD - Polyethylene "linear low density"
LLDPE has short branched polymer chains, resulting in high-density (LLD). Polyethylene is the most widely produced plastic. Examples are the use of container construction, pipes, bottles and films.
Linear low density polyethylene (PE-LLD), also LLDPE, is a copolymer formed by copolymerization of ethene and higher α-olefins, e.g. butene, hexene or octene, produced plastic. Polyethylene belongs to the group of polyolefins. It is the most widely used plastic in the world. PE-LLD is characterized by high chemical resistance, good electrical insulation and good sliding properties. Polyethylene is of low strength, hardness and stiffness. It has high ductility and impact strength. Polyethylene can not be lacquered, printed or glued without suitable pretreatment. The melting point of PE-LLD is approx. 45°C to 125°C, the continuous use temperature is max. 90°C.
