Plastic welding rods PP - Polypropylene
PP is resistant to almost all organic solvents and fats, as well as most acids and alkalis. Polypropylene is used in many ways, for example in the mechanical and automotive, container, electrical, medical and packaging equipment.
Polypropylene (PP) is a thermoplastic produced by chain polymerization of propene. It belongs to the group of polyolefins. Polypropylene has an excellent resistance to material fatigue. It is the second most widely used plastic after PE worldwide. Polypropylene is suitable for injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, hot forming, welding and deep drawing. PP is odorless, skin-friendly and physiologically harmless, thus suitable for applications in the pharmaceutical and food sector. PP can not be lacquered, printed or glued without suitable pretreatment. The melting point of PP is approx. 160°C, the continuous use temperature is max. 100°C.
