Plastic welding rods PP/EPDM - Polypropylene / Ethylene-propylene-diene-monomer
PP/EPDM combines the good properties of the polypropylene, namely the good ductility in heat, with the good properties of the material EPDM. This mixture is used, e.g. often for bumpers and other parts in vehicle manufacturing.
Polypropylene / Ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (PP/EPDM) is an olefin-based thermoplastic elastomer in which elastic polymer chains are incorporated into thermoplastic material. PP/EPDM becomes plastic when heated but elastic again when cooled. It also has good abrasion resistance, is resistant to environmental influences and chemicals and also offers a certain sealing effect. PP/EPDM is odorless and skin-friendly. The melting point of PP/EPDM is approx. 160°C, the continuous use temperature is between -45°C and + 125°C.
