Plastic welding rods PU - Polyurethane
PU (in the usage also PUR) are plastics or synthetic resins, which can be widely varied in their properties. These include soft foam and hard foam, casting resin, pulp, molding compounds and paint. Examples of use are PU plates, bumpers, dashboards, hoses, handles and transport rollers and much more.
Polyurethane (PU), also known as PUR, is produced by the mixture of polyether polyol, isocyanate and a blowing agent as well as other components such as catalysts, dyes, flame retardants and stabilizers. PU is a lightweight plastic, is stable and has a high breaking strength. It is very easy to machine and thermally deform. The melting point of PU is approx. 240°C to 265°C, the continuous operating temperature at max. -40°C to +100°C.
