By means of the pressure roller, an optimum pressure can be exerted during the overlapping welding of foils and tarpaulins. Thus the edges of film or tarpaulin melted by means of hot air can be firmly connected to one another by the rolling movement carried out under pressure. The pressure roller is used, for example, in the welding of tarpaulins for trucks and trailers, pond film, swimming pool and pool construction, filming and gluing of edges.
