Plastic repair kit PS 1 Black - Polystyrene
This repair kit contains all the components necessary to perform a proper repair of parts made of PS.
PS has a high surface hardness and is resistant to aqueous mineral acids and alkalis good resistance. It is also resistant to the action of water and will not rot. Examples of the use of PS are automobile and motorcycle parts, parts of electrical technology and modeling.
Polystyrene (PS) is a thermoplastic and is produed by the polymerization of styrene. Solid amorphous polystyrene is clear as glass, hard and impact-sensitive. PS is resistant to aqueous alkalis and mineral acids, not to polar solvents such as benzine. Polystyrene is also resistant to water but decompose when exposed to UV radiation. Polystyrene becomes brittle with light. Polystyrene is physiologically harmless. The low shrinkage or shrinkage tendency of polystyrene during the manufacturing process allows very precise components. Also very fine contours and straight surfaces can be produced for plastic. This property allows the production of very precise components. As a transparent plastic often used as food packaging. The main fields of application for polystyrene are the packaging industry, electrical engineering and the production of household goods and toys. Polystyrene is resistant to water, weak mineral acids, organic acids, alkalis and alcohol. The melting point of PC is about 240°C to 270°C, the continuous use temperature is -60°C to +80°C.
